About Samford Equestrian Group


 

 

Established in 1987, the Samford Equestrian Group (SEG) is a friendly group that encourages both Adult and Junior riders to participate in a wide range of Equestrian sports.  Our club's strategic plan aims to grow our club, develop foster equestrian talent including competitive riders, officials and coaches and improve our facilities for members and the local community to enjoy for many years to come.

 

 

As of May 2008 we have a strong and growing membership with 185 active members.

What we do
SEG hold a number of Official and Associate Dressage days each year, as well as a number of Showjumping and Eventing training days.  We also organise various Members Only events, clinics and presentations to help educate and provide fun activities for all ages and experiences.  These include horse safety, vet talks on horse health, feeding and property management, natural horsemanship and Quadrille riding.


Where we are

All our competition days are held at the Denis Goodwin Reserve (Club Grounds), next to the Samford Showgrounds, Showgrounds Drive in Highvale, Queensland.  Meetings are held on the third Wednesday of every month at the Samford Homestead Restaurant, Main Street, Samford.  General meetings commence at 7:30pm and all are welcome to attend - check our calendar for more details.
