Social riding days

SEG holds a number of social riding days throughout the year. These are members-only, non-competition, non-clinic days where you bring along your horse and ride on the lovely SEG sand arenas, enjoying a social day out with friends.

Typically, three arenas are available for general shared riding, with no limit on riding time. There is also one formal dressage arena set-up for people to practise riding dressage tests, with a limit of 15 minutes per session to allow everyone the chance to use the dressage arena. There is no formal draw or roster set - it is a first come, first served system.

Entry for social riding days is by gold coin donation, with all money going to a selected charity for the day. In 2011, SEG raised over $1,124 from gold coin donations and sale of cupcakes at our social riding days. We’d like to thank the teams from Chemmart Samford and Keperra for their generosity with raffles and joint fund raising with SEG in 2011. It is great to have community support for such worthy charities.
